Hunting around Sundre
Have a spot to check out around Sundre, couple out of the way quarters with no hunting pressure. Will either be in 316/318 from what I've been able to put together. Will confirm tomorrow.
What's the general population structure whitetails, mules, elk, moose? Don't know the area. Likely get some cameras going and have a hunter host lined up.

A complete gong show on any weekend...not the hunting quality it was 10 or 20 yrs ago. Lots of guys hunt without permission and don't care to ask.

Plenty of deer, mostly basket racks. The genetics seems poor for the most part in terms of trophy size bucks.

Not so many in some areas...the area I have been hunting for the past 20 yrs has very few deer left. Hardly saw a doe last fall. Combination of bad winters, wolves and higher hunter pressure I think.

I was laughing at buckmans comment, But for the most part Patients is needed around Sundre, Grew up here and have hunted the vast area around Sundre my entire life. There has definitely been alot more pressure in the last 20 plus years Ive hunted here, But theres still a few takers left. People just gotta quit killing everything they see, let those 150" deer live another year or two, Its driving me nuts everytime i let a nice buck go some dip **** decides to shoot or poach the Fucckn thing.Oh ya get outta your truck and walk a ways....

You are completely right...there are some big ones but few and far between...I have a set of sheds from a buck that would have gone almost 190" from out where we hunt. To get a big buck out there u will have to work ur butt off or have a horse shoe up it.

Deer numbers are ok in private land, down in forestry, everywhere is down from a few years ago overall, size of bucks largely has to do with the land you get on as hunting pressure keeps antler size down in much of the zone.
