any thoughts on this cartridge. I have a chance to buy one at a reasonable price. This isn't the lapua but rather a 222 rem mag punched out to 6mm. I understand 204 brass could be used to form. Any ideas on bullet weights, velocities, ect what's its claim to fame

I read a article in a rifle magazine they called it a 6mm -204 so would be the same.
Super accurate but not great speeds.
Not sure what grain of bullet they used and a twist rate thow.
I'll see if I can find it,think they called it a texas trophy 6mm -204.

awesome little cartridge. have one on an old school 40x and just built one on a 788. both run ragged holes with ease. downside is brass, if you can't find any rem 222mag brass you can go the 204 route. haven't had to try it, but should work fine.
i run 68 bergers at 3150 with great results, had some 55 btips going 3300 for forming.

I had one in a custom job. Was a nice toy to play with but I always go back to a 222, 223, or 204.

We've sold a fair number in M21 coopers. We keep 222 Rem Mag brass here for that reason.
