What were you planning on doing with it? If you want to call deer with it, then yes, you're good to go.

Used one once, damn deer practically ran over me, before I put a hole in him. I used to be a doubter.

Never used the "roar" or "snort-wheeze" calls, but I've been told that it's the equivalent of telling a buck that his mom is mass-positive.
