Default elk shoulder mount ideas

I decided to shoulder mount the elk I shot this year and while the cape is out getting tanned I started to think about the form I will choose. I don't care for the (sneak) mounts and it was shot in November so no bugling poses. If you take those two out of the equation and you just don't see many other options. I'm hoping to see some of your mounts that may appeal to me. I'm most interested in semi-sneak or upright mounts - (anything with the head above the shoulder). If you have one and are willing to post a picture or two - please do.

I really recommend removable antlers, regardless of the pose that you choose. It just makes it so much easier to move them around through doors and down hallways, stairs etc.

I can totally see where you are coming from, but I don't think I can bring myself to cutting them. I only need to make it through one door, so I'm hoping I can get away without. I will however try with the antlers set to my form before I do anything else.

I agree with the detachable antlers I had one done a fee years ago and I am very thankful that I went that route because there's no way he would fit through a doorway I would at the very least measure his width and ensure that you can get him though a door way. I also had mine done on a pedistal I don't know how
Much wall height you have but especially an upright could take up 6
To 8 feet so something to keep in mind also

Here is mine and it is my favourite form for an Elk. I don't think I'd want any more upright than this.

Here is a bull my Grandfather shot 50 years ago. This one has more turn to it and is also nice.

Elk are one of those animals that shout out for more than an 8 ft. ceiling to look right.
