Default Blind Enthusiasm

‘‘Twas the night before deer season.”
And all through the house.
I was running amuck.

Cuz it’s what you do the day before the home opener!

Here we go for another season gang, blinds are set and the prospects look good.

More to follow.

Taking a friend out for his first mule deer hunt this morning, hoping a certain buck shows up like he has over the last two weeks.

At 9:10 it happened!

First a doe, then there he was, antlers sticking up through the grass.
Rear view around 260 yds(ranged earlier) by the time the rifle went up....... gone! Smart bugger musta went through the dead ground. The doe stayed visible from the fence to the Bush!

That’s why it’s called hunting.

Unhappy

Hmmmm I will trump you ......8:30 he walks in just after I tickled the tines and let out three grunts....passing left to right....30 yards....adjust butt in chair and squeeeeek....gun up....80 yards still running...disappears...30 minutes later after a few grunts and some rattling...a deer is beating the heck out of the woods...out of sight...then all is calm....back out of area.....

Wife says relax only first day

There’s likely a bullet up in his front end someplace.
I’ll find it when we butcher him.
