Just left Cold lake. 10 inches clear ice, some cracks, very wind chilly I was the third one to drive across from the provincial park. the trout still fight well, but release them quick as the eyes could freeze very fast in this temp. My family and I will be eating a nice fillet for supper. be careful of the ice cracks and heaves. Fisher Gord

Fisher Gord, where were you fishing, in the bay or did you venture out in the main lake area? My diesel is still to heavy to head out on the lake in 10 inches of ice, looking at trying Cold Lake in the morning, probably on the quad from my house, completely skunked at Tucker "again", close to 2 feet of ice though, has the snow blown off in spots? Thanks in advance

Tyee, let us know how you make out and how much ice there is. I want to head out there even if we have to snowmobile out.
