Alberta/saskatchewan license for cold lake

Need clarification if you can fish with a Saskatchewan license on the Alberta side and vice versa. Seems a bit grey to me in the regulations

yes, either lisence for the entire lake. You only need one or the other to fish the entire lake.

You can fish on either side with either a saskatchewan or alberta licence. Just no barbed hooks for Albertans. Maybe see you there this weekend. One last time...

Just wanted to make a clarification as was explained by the fish cops....either license will do but regulations for either all fall under Alberta Regulations, even for Sask folks...so no barbs for anyone.

The fish cop I talked to said that people with a Sask licence can use barbed hooks on the sask side but people with alberta licences can not use barbed hooks anywhere. FYI When we asked the fish cop he seemed very confused about how it works so safest bet is just go barbless

Incorrect for cold lake, It states you follow alberta regs

Up until March 31, 2012 if you are fishing on the sask side under a sask license you can in fact use barbless. Starting on May 15, 2012 it will now be mandatory barbless on the sask side as well. Sask is looking at changing the laker limit to 1 fish over 75cm in 2013.

Thanks, yes going to try on Friday and see if i can catch one more. Will be out on my green quad if anyone wants to stop bye. Looking out my window and wondering how long this snow is going to fall.
