Hunting dog - GSP - Relocating to USA

Hey all dog owners, looking for some opinions please...

I've got a German Short-haired Pointer, she is almost 2 years old. Love her to bits, shes a great hunting dog and just superb with my little kids.
My work is re-locating to the USA and I'm having a hard time if I take her with us or find a home here. Hard part is for the first 5 or so months I'm going by myself so cannot take her, and it will be a struggle for my wife to manage the house, kids, her part-time work and the dog.

I want to do whats right by my dog...she is, by her nature, a very high-energy dog and needs lots of attention. That is pushing me to a decision I am not confident about.

you have a hard decision to make
where exactly are you moving to???
would it be possible to place her with a trainer until you can have her with you,
that way you can kill two decisions at once , get her trained better, and be able to adjust to the move at the same time until yer family joins you.
might be something to think about

What diesel said. Pay a trainer 5k and get your dog worked every day.

Thanks I had not thought about a trainer. $$$ would drive that decision but I'll look into it.

This is easy. Call Travis at Sagebrush kennels who is now in Alabama and set your dog up their. Is a pro trainer who’s just bought/leased land down there for the upcoming winter circuit.
