Default KegRiver

Just got word through a friend of mine that Keg River has passed away. I don’t have details . His wife asked that his friends on AO be notified.

Any who wish to post memories feel free. Jim was a fixture here for many years and a great contributor as well as a former moderator.

Rest in peace sir.

Oh no!!!
That's terrible news.
He's one of those members whom I never got the chance to meet, but really wish I would have.

RIP Keg. May you chase 60" moose for eternity.
My condolences to his many friends and loved ones.

Rest in peace. I met him briefly at a gunshow where he was selling a game camera attachment. Chatted awhile. I bought the piece to support him and made a good memory. Happy hunts await.

When I was still in my infant days on here with AO…Keg had reached out to me on a PM and even sent me a nice picture he wanted me to have, I’ll never forget that…I felt like I kinda belonged here after that!
Your a good man Jim, hope the hunting’s good at your new place!
This ole guy has much respect towards you…RIP.

Damn, very sorry to hear this as he's been on here posting great info as long as I can remember.
I never had the pleasure to meet him but he seemed like a "salt of the earth" kind of man.
Condolences to friends and family, he'll be missed.....

Default Condolences to the Family

I enjoyed his comments and found him to be a very interesting person in the way he approached many of the issues he weighed in on. I wish his family well in this time of greiving.

He will be missed on the forum.

That’s sad to hear, condolences to his friends & family. I hadn’t met him but he was kind enough to have sent out some camera mounts when I had posted about some vandalism issues about 6 years back, those kind of unprompted kind gestures say a lot about a person, we lost a good one.

Sad news, he would be someone I would have sat around a table with for hours just asking about and listening to his stories on how they grew up, trapped to keep the family going and so much more. Happy Trails Keg.

Oh man, that hits hard. Such a good man.

I was getting concerned when our communications slowed down.

My condolences to Patti and the rest of the family.

I'll see you when I get there, Sir. Until then, Rest in Peace.

I think people tend to post in forums like this and think it's a little bit like shouting into the void. Names have been changed, identities feel hidden... but... they're not.

I'm one of Keg's kids.

I just wanted to pop on here to say that your comments and condolences have reached his family.

Through this forum I've been able to glimpse parts of my dad I didn't have the privilege of seeing in life. I've also been able to sit with him... in a way.

If you're on a forum like this and your family doesn't know, please let them know... even if just to put it in your will so they find it after you're gone. You have no idea how much it will/would mean to them.

Be kind to each other.

God bless.
