the fish are big but hard to catch

i hit up twin lakes this weekend. gorgous lake btw very deep and clear. the lake drops off to like 150 feet in some places and almost straight down all the way around the lake i didnt fish much but when we did we didnt even get à bite yet people around say the fish are really big
any suggestions how any of yall would
fish this lake???
