Perch fishing for kids (Edmonton)

I know the dreaded topic.

I’m going out with a buddy and his 3 kids and my son, we’ve been out to other lakes with them and caught some pike, but nothing that has really hooked their interest because of the long wait between bites.

We bring lots of things to do and keep them entertained as best as we can. However I would love to have them catch fish at a more consistent rate, or even watch them on camera.

If anyone could point me in a direction that would be greatly appreciated, not looking for the holy grail. Just trying to get some young kids hooked.
