Default 4 Species Day

Braved the slick roads this morning and headed to the lake. Turned into a very nice day and the fish cooperated. Nothing overly big but all healthy and 3 of the 4 were let go to fight another day.

Seeing a lot of perch with this being the biggest I caught today.

The biggest pike, nice and healthy. Hoping they are making a comeback.

Healthy walleye I could have kept but let it go to grow. Caught a bigger one but did not have my GoPro set up so no picture.

Sorry for the dark picture, forgot to turn the lights on in my flip over. I have before this year caught a grand total of 1 burbot and that was in NW Ontario at Minnitaki Lake in 2006. This year I have caught 3 so far, with 2 of them in the past 4 days. I brought this guy home to try the so called poor man’s lobster.

Be back out on the ice Tuesday.
