I back into all stalls because my employer requires me to as they deem it less risk of accident driving out of a stall rather than backing out. Started only for work now it痴 just so much easier to back a truck into a tight stall vs pulling in forwards.

Drive in and drive out, away from the gaggle close to the venue.

Pet peeve when people back into a angled stall against the direction of travel-like in a one-way parkade.
See it everytime I go to the casino

Depending on what I知 driving.
If my truck, then always where I can to back in, or pull through.
Car would depend on which is more convenient.
If I had a house with driveway always back in.

If there is nowhere else to park away from all the other vehicles I generally back in. I like my first move to be forward, less chance of parking lot dings when someone backs out at the same time.

Much easier to get into stalls backing in. Especially in Calgary where they think everyone drives a small car and make the stalls 6 inches wider than my truck is. My mirrors hang over the lines.

Back in (even the spaces that say drive in, if they want to give me a ticket then they can get of their fat arse to check my plate)it's just a lot safer to drive out of a space.

This has always bugged me..How does it matter? You have to either back in or out at some point...I hate when I have to wait for someone to back into a spot in a parking lot! Why?
I can see it for a Flames game where you want to get out, but in a walmart parking lot?
Bugs the crap out of me.....

Back in with the truck almost always. Usually pull in with SUV for getting groceries (loading into the rear) and angle parking.

95% of the time i will back in
(Makes for less stressful exit with people
walking around etc)
But if the spot is tighter i'll pull in as sometime i find making a little last quick turn of the wheel
for tiny angle to allow so the guy beside me doesnt slam his door into mine.

Because as I pull up I can see the area around me including drivers in nearby cars in real time(not delayed by the time you unlock doors and enter vehicle), and which makes it better to back out of traffic than back into traffic.
Sorry it bugs you.

I back in or pull through. I try to just park in open areas to avoid door dings. Also its usually far from whatever entrance, so i get some walking in.

Since I drive a truck and most parking spots these days keep getting smaller and smaller, I back in. I try to avoid the Austin Powers scenarios.

So waiting for someone to back into the spot is annoying but waiting for them to back out is Okay?? Alrighty then.

Have to back in at work mandatory but been driving a truck for years and always easier to back into a spot. My pet peeve is when you are going to back into a spot and someone who is clueless on this concept, are right up yer butt. The look of frustration on their face when they have to back up because they don't give people room to work.

THIS and might add safety -if it痴 clear when u pull up than risking it being busy (cars/kids/pets) when u get back & having to start up the backing out process.

I back in, I find that when you're backing in its you that has the right of way so being the more difficult of the two motions one should take advantage of that. Driving vans with no back windows got me into that habit. My new van is even bigger but has a back up camera but I still find it easier to manoeuvre in backwards to be properly parallel as opposed to driving in forwards and requiring more corrections. Of course when possible I select distant spots with less congestion or drive straight through one spot to be lined up to exit the other. My van is 23' long bumper to bumper so the turning circle isn't very Corolla-like.

Depends on wheelbase of the vehicle im driving. If im driving the wifes little puddle jumper it can zip in and out of anywhere easy enough. Thats not the case with longer vehicles like pickups.

I generally back my truck in as its easier. Based on vehicle dynamics, you will alway be able to back into a tighter space than you can enter forward. There is a reason forklifts have the steering wheels at the back.

I park far away from the typical crowds, a little walk never hurt anyone and prefer to drive in and then out with no backing up if doable.

Put me in the "back in" camp.
I hate backing out of a spot.
The "dream" spot is where you can drive into a spot, right thru to the spot in front of that one, so you are facing forward to leave, if that makes sense.
The worst is when you're in a busy lot, you approach an open spot, put on your signal, drive slightly past (with signal still on), start backing in, and the person behind you is right on your bumper completely clueless as to what you are trying to do, like they've never seen anyone back into a spot before. Or worse, THEY pull into the spot you have signaled you are backing into.
It's enough to make a guy want to do his shopping online lol.
I'm also a "park far from the door" guy...this infuriates my wife, unfortunately.
"There's got to be a spot closer to the door"!Says she.
"I'm parking far away because I love you dear, I'd hate to go away on an assault charge and leave you all alone". Says I.
