It sounds like if I want to shoot a wolf I should probably just go moose hunting! Congrats on all the great wolves guys.

2013 Wolf Info
Has anybody seen or heard of Wolves that need to be thinned out, I would be more than willing to shoot a few if I knew where they were plentiful!

I have heard wolves are beginning to be a problem in the Hoadley up to the Buck Creek, Alberta area. They are taking farm animals, might want to check it out if its not to far out of your way.
Good luck

That's awesome. Seems like when ever I see these buggers I don't have. Gun in my hand. The black one has a monster of a head on it doesn't it.

IMO the easiest way to shoot wolves is to hunt an area the week after a big camp pulls out. North of me there is an area where some guys have a moose camp for 2-3 weeks every year. In late October after they have pulled out you can pretty much count on running into wolves that come sniffing around the empty camp site. You need to walk though, have never had a shot opportunity at a wolf while riding a quad.
Another good method I've found is to hunt frozen creeks in thick timber and/ or heavy snow. The creeks tend to get blown off a little more than the surrounding bush and wolves will use them as a travel route.
