Plenty of open water on the bow and down south on the crow and oldman. I am hoping I can get out soon with the fly gear.
Maybe try for next week if the weather is nice.

Hey just wondering if my flies arrived yet? I don't see them marked off as delivered. I gave them to my wife to drop off in the mail box the other day.
I was just thinking of something. I never did get a chance to take a picture of them. Oh well. I could tie another few and still take a picture.

nope. honestly i expected your bugs last week too. stopped every night on my way home to check. nothing yet. should be first of the week, or we may have to send out a search party. don't worry about not getting some pics, i'll look after that.

My wife said she did send them. I included a recipe for them in the envelope.
I would hope they arrive tomorrow. If not by Wednesday then let me know. I will start tying another bunch tonight just incase. If they don't arrive then I will personally come and deliver the new ones myself Wednesday evening. If they do arrive then I will have another dozen for my personal box. So it's a win, win situation all round.

GaryF's Crystal Caddis
Hook: Mustad C49S size 10-14
Bead: Black to match hook size
Body: Olive Ostrich Herl
Rib: Small Pearl Mylar
Thorax: Black Peacock Ice Dub
Hot Spot: Fl. Orange Uni 8/0
I use the Fl. Orange thread to tie the entire fly. You can use an underbody of lead, which these flies I tied have to help get it down in deeper water. Any smaller than size 14 and you need to go to a dubbed body as the ostrich herl gets too long and makes the fly look weird.

Tallieho's Nightfighter
Hook wet fly#8-14 my tie for swap is #12 3906b
Tail Black calf tail or blk bear very sparse
body peacock herl 3/4 pcs.wrap around tieing thread reinforces it.
Blk.wet fly hackle [webby]1 11/2 turns behind the eye.
Now you can put a bead on the hook prior to tying it.Sliver.makes a good backswimmer imitaer.copper just helps it sink, but the best imo is a red sliver lined #8 glass bead.I fish in lakes, trolled or cast .small represent a small blk.nymph ,larger sz. a leech..tight lines &sinking corkies.

Wbaj's Stimulator
Hook: Tiemco 200R Size 10
Tail: Yearling Elk hair stacked and tied in short, about the same length as the hook gap.
Rib: Furnace or brown hackle, dress this heavy if used as a strike indicator for second fly, less for just fished on it's own.
Body: 4 strands of peacock herl, twisted and wrapped as a rope.
Overwing: Yearling elk hair stacked and tied in even with the tail tips
Thorax: Olive Hare's Ear dubbin, over wrapped with grizzly hackle.
Head: Red tying thread.
Most often I will start fishing this fly with a GRHE or prince nymph tied onto the bend. If I find they are more interested in the Stimmy, I just cut it off and fish it alone, if not I will fish both. On good days both can produce.

I can tell you guys that I have participated and run very many swaps over the years. From the looks of those pictures this is going to be the very best swap I have ever joined in with. What a great diversity of flies.
Great job everyone. Can't wait to see all those flies close up.
