Encana first thing would be for them to test the spectrography of the gas composition between the gas in their well with that of the water well. Gas is different by zone. Like a finger print.
Facts will come out if not out already.
But again. Case was thrown out because of the regulator being included. Simple.

Actually if you look at the court case ENCANA has is over 3 years behind supplying the results of tests and also in supply the court with the lists of chemicals it used for fraccing.
ANYWAYS. For those of you that want an excellent read on how the world actually works when it comes to governments and big business please read.
For those of you that would rather listen it is available in audiobook. Many of the tales and examples told are relevant to Canada.
An excellent primer to how things really work
For those that would rather live there lives with blinders on please pass.

eaturing 15 explosive new chapters, this expanded edition of Perkins's classic bestseller brings the story of economic hit men (EHMs) up to date and, chillingly, home to the US. Over 40 percent of the book is new, including chapters identifying today's EHMs and a detailed chronology extensively documenting EHM activity since the first edition was published in 2004.
Former economic hit man John Perkins shares new details about the ways he and others cheated countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. Then he reveals how the deadly EHM cancer he helped create has spread far more widely and deeply than ever in the US and everywhere else—to become the dominant system of business, government, and society today. Finally, he gives an insider view of what we each can do to change it.
Economic hit men are the shock troops of what Perkins calls the corporatocracy, a vast network of corporations, banks, colluding governments, and the rich and powerful people tied to them. If the EHMs can't maintain the corrupt status quo through nonviolent coercion, the jackal assassins swoop in. The heart of this book is a completely new section, over 100 pages long, that exposes the fact that all the EHM and jackal tools—false economics, false promises, threats, bribes, extortion, debt, deception, coups, assassinations, unbridled military power—are used around the world today exponentially more than during the era Perkins exposed over a decade ago.
The material in this new section ranges from the Seychelles, Honduras, Ecuador, and Libya to Turkey, Western Europe, Vietnam, China, and, in perhaps the most unexpected and sinister development, the United States, where the new EHMs—bankers, lobbyists, corporate executives, and others—“con governments and the public into submitting to policies that make the rich richer and the poor poorer.”
But as dark as the story gets, this reformed EHM also provides hope. Perkins offers a detailed list of specific actions each of us can take to transform what he calls a failing Death Economy into a Life Economy that provides sustainable abundance for all.

If you really want to be ticked off, just check out the wholesale rates posted on the NRCAN website, no supply cost increases to justify it. (Hence why Costco is still cheaper than the rest)

And their are tons of books on communism...same old.
It it neither capitalism or communism that is inherently bad but rather what drives people and how the system balances the good with the bad.
Socialism has the worst balances so it fails. Capitalism has the most so it survives.

WOW Sundance. Not surprising at all that you would comment on a subject you know nothing about. Did you even read anything about the book or online or did you just grab the communist word as some sort of defense mechanism.....
Here is about the author if its possible for you to read it and THINK about it before making a comment.
John Perkins was formerly Chief Economist at a major international consulting firm where he advised the World Bank, United Nations, the IMF, U.S. Treasury Department, Fortune 500 corporations, and governments in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Since then, his books on economics, geo-politics, and indigenous cultures have sold more than 1 million copies. He is a founder and board member of Dream Change and The Pachamama Alliance, nonprofits devoted to establishing a world our children will want to inherit. You can find out more about John Perkins at his website
Your right.... He certainly does sound like a communist.

Sadly you totally missed my point.
You posted a book bashing capitalism. I said there are lots of books bashing the opposite of capitalism...communism.
While you may enjoy your read...it is but one persons opinion and doesn't make capitalism bad.
Enjoy your day. PS. What do you make in your business? Just curious. Can we start guessing?
I am thinking... Coffee Shop.

Sadly you know nothing of what you are talking about.
FFS dude it does not bash capitalism in any way. AGAIN YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE BOOK!!!! Your like the HOLLYWOOD blacklist in 1938 yelling communism from the rafters as a defense.....
It is written by a capitalist and it supports capitalism.
It talks about the errors and issue with the systems and how things are run. Nothing about capitalism.... Saying that is like you support bombardier as they are a stockholder owned company because it is capitalistic..... Without looking at the billions that have been wasted in taxpayers dollars to make one family stinking rich!
DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT SUPPORT BOMBARDIER?
In fact I believe you dont understand what capitalism is.... Capitalism is based on free markets with no government intervention, hand outs, subsidies, or graft. It is a system where everyone competes on a market equally with no obstacles to free competition.
I challenge you to show me ONE capitalistic industry.... Not a society.... Just one industry that is pure capitalistic.
And what do you do for a living sundance?

Your book does slam capitalism by stating some instances of problems. You brought up the book. I stated all forms have problems and regardless capitalism is the best.
You have a hate on for big business. If that is an incorrect statement then you need to watch what you say in your posts.
I am against bailouts for bombardier in principle and also because they are a reoccurring tax payer's nightmare.
Not all big companies are bad. In fact most are just as good as any small company.
I asked what you sell as you purport to be a small business owner. Could help understand some of your comments.
You refuse to say. Your choice not to go there.
Cheers

Last message to you and im done. The book does not slam capitalism. It slams things that are going on in corpritism disguising itself as capitalism. They are 2 very different things. Quick examples of corpritism, bombardier, Shaw Cable and Canada's banking system among many others.
Many large companies are amazing and I have worked for some. However when a corporation does everything in its power to reduce what it gives back to society by lobbying ect then its not a good company.
But the system is at fault. And it is not capitalism that is at fault. It is the rules that are setup between our politicians and our corporate elite that benefit the few and punish the many.
Example bombardier and Canada's banking system.
It is far from a level playing field out there.... Just look at what the government wants to do for wind and solar vs gas and coal. Not a level playing field there at all.
As for my business it is my business. Ive asked you as many times what you do for a living and you have not responded to that either.
Ill agree to disagree with you....
I really think you should either read or listen to the book. It is very good and has a lot of evidence. However it is one side of a story for sure.
Good luck.
