Default McKinnon / Carelsand Conditions

Has anyone been lately - is the water open or is there a lot of ice? I appreciate any feedback as I want to go tomorrow. Thanks.

Mckinnon is shallow water. So won't be any access for a while. Carsland has ice pile up there. So I doubt that it will be open any time soon.

Check with Michael from Bow River Shuttles. http://www.bowrivershuttles.com/ If you sign up for their news letter ( The Stimulator ) they will post pictures of all the launches throughout the spring. So you will know exactally when they are open for fishing.
