Anyone know if there is open water out there? Or does anybody know some places in Edmonton where there is open water?

^^^^^^^^

Yup what he said.....fellas please do not fish the NSR.....we don't want to hear about you guys on the 6 o'clock news.....

This is coming from a guy who broke through the ice on a river many years ago while moose hunting, I put my life and my Dad's life in danger and I almost was swept under the ice from the current....I was lucky my Dad was nearby....I had hypothermia and I am here to tell that is not a joke.

Don't ask me about ice conditions again either I will not respond.

BTW....

"Know any good spots that are open? Im going out today and need answers."

This is not the polite way to ask someone for information....just saying.

Grouchy old man rant over.....

Born and raised, and currently living in Devon. The bridge is one if the most dangerous spots for miles. Don't even think about it.

Went to Devon today saw some open water, so went down to take a look and the banks looked a little risky although there was a guy walking his dog under the bridge LOL. Took some pics then packed up and left. Also went to hermitage and saw open water on the other side of the river by the old factory/plant but couldn't figure out how to get access to that. After driving all afternoon we gave up and went home.
