I don't have the regs in front of me, what is open in that area. I thought fishing was closed after March is done, for a bit.

The trout stock ponds are open. Except Muir, it's still closed since Nov 1 - Apr 30

May 13-15 last year Wilson, Elk and Swan Creeks (and pretty much anything it that area) was so flooded out it was unfishable, I think you're pushing your luck in early April. Then again, last year was a late year getting started. Best of luck to you, say "hey" to the Blackstone for me.

I'm aware (painfully so) that she's closed until June 16, as are all the Cutt and Rainbow streams. Just asking so if you happen to be drive over her.

I am very lucky there are lots of great trout streams with in an hr of home. so as you guy all yern for the west country I will heading down the deerfoot heading for our annual bow trip. hope to try below the 22x. may even throw a indicator and nymph on. once that is out of the way. I will be heading for my scots man's creek. got a spot just screaming personal best for bull and brown with a good chance of a big brookie. i now have a photobucket thing so i'm hoping to have pics soon.

I am hoping to get into a few fatties out at bullshead.

I am trying to plan a trip out there with a buddy and I think I might give my pontoon a test run and the new Amundson Wind Warrior 10' stillwater rod.

It is going to be a zoo out there but I am hoping to avoid most of the shore anglers by being out in the toon.

If you see a guy floating around in a bright orange toon give me a wave or holler.

Many streams are fishable before run off. But if you don't believe that, feel free to stay home

well im not keen giving up scots man creek to just any one. it recieves very little pressure, my group of friends all practice catch and release. if you would like to pm me we could perhaps work on starting a conversation, leading to a wade down scots man's creek. your photography is outstanding and I feel a good guy may be allowed to tag along.

Ya there has been pictures posted on another forum that shows last week that it was opening up pretty good.

I would say by the time Sunday hits it should be wide open and ready to rock.

Police Outpost is still iced over. There is a couple tiny open spots but I would say that it will be at least a week before there is any significant open water, and probably another week until it is in shape to fish.

Payne Lake is 75% open, but the east end (boat launch) is still solid, however it is likely that one could launch a car topper from the north side camp ground by Sunday.

Watertown Reservoir has only the narrowest strip of open water right in the middle and some open area around the edge. At least a week. In fact, I am not sure if the reservoir is open on Sunday.

St Mary reservoir (NOT open to fishing yet) is about 60% ice free.
