Default Best Rod.

You could prob come close to getting a Shimano Crucial rod and a Shimano Spirex 2500 reel for that price. I know these rods go on sale sometimes and they are super nice.

Take a look at St. Croix Premiere spinning rods. I ordered one from TFH in Calgary a couple years ago and it has been an excellent rod (PS66MHF2). Caught some very nice pike on it throwing larger spoons from shore. The Med-Heavy power really helps with setting the hook and chucking large lures. I think the rod was about $150. As for reel, anything that holds 200 yards of 10-12lb test will work.

Sorry I might not have worded it I mention what rod and storage reel would cost around 150 but the rod is more important to me than the reel cause I have many reels but my rods are getting old and two of my rods broke recently

whats a storage reel?

if its just a rod then my suggestion is a Rap Walleye series, crank bait rod around 90 bucks.

Check into a pflueger president reel if you have money left over from your rod purchase. I have been using them for the last 5 years and never had a problem with them as of yet. They are around $50-60 if I remember right.

Look at the Lightning Rod 6'M for Walleye , They have really been improved and very sensitive . You can feel the smallest of hits .

As for a Pike rod , go with a CLARUS BAITCAST RODS

reels

look at the

Rapala F2 Spooled with 15 lb braid then tie on a 10 foot Flurocarbon leader of 8 lb . This would be a good Walleye set up.

CALLISTO 100 BAIT CAST REEL Spooled with 30 lb Sufix 832 with a 24 " Flurocarbon leader youd be laughing .

You would be able to get all 4 of those for under 200 bucks . And you would have 2 really decent set ups .

St. Croix are a great brand, and a lot of them are in the 125 range.
