Default New style of carbon arrows?

(I haven't been on here for a while, so maybe I missed some of the latest developments in archery technology) but I ran into a guy today who showed me some new arrows he had just acquired. They were carbon, and looked to be about half the diameter of a regular carbon arrow. He said they're the latest rage. Have I missed something?

Nice arrows for sure,
The added penetration is simple physics, a micro diameter shaft with a standard 5/16" head adapter punching the initial hole, nothing to stop or grip the rest of the shaft for an additional few milli sec, but I'll try them for sure.

Default VAP or Nano

Been using them for 3D for the last 3 years. The orginal outserts were junk (they would bend after 2 or 3 shots), but the new ones are great.

How do the vap's hold when target practicing and you get a good group? Do they shatter or hold up pretty good?

The first carbon arrows were actually skinny ons and used outserts for points and over shaft nocks.

Then technology changed and advanced and to make fletching easier the new carbon arrows were born and standardizes for inserts and nocks... Then some guys wanted fatter ones for line cutters and so a new line was developed.

In past also A/C arrows wre created but the sizing was all different depending on spine. X10 arrows were developed years ago and designed for long distance shooting and had small diameter and Higher SD to reduce drift.

Now as the envelope for distance is being pushed the narrow diameter and higher SD has become more popular in Carbon arrows now too.

Harvest Time, Carbon Express, Victory all make line of "skinny" carbons. beman was the innovator and now since being bought out by Easton don't think they make a skinny Carbon for higher draw weight bows any more.

the thing with the skinnier arrows is that in order to get same stiffness as a larger diameter carbon they have to have more material on wall of arrow which increases shaft weight.

Easton PC's. I remember them well. Other than that extension that seats into the shaft (rather than the glue on outserts)...same same. You got those things dialed in, they were deadly quick. If you underspined them, they were literally spaghetti noodles.
