Everyone will have their favorite, kind of the 'Ford Chev Dodge' thing, (or Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech...).

Having said that, I sure like my Scott Little Goose. Compact, precision made, great quality. Never failed me in the 6 years I've been shooting it, and see no reason to change. Scott in general makes a nice release, you should look over their whole line up, decide if you want single caliper, double, whatever. See what fits your hand, kind of like a bow. TC

find one that fits you well and has the features you like. i have been using the same scott for about 15 years now. im not sure its ever going to die. i actually bought 2 at the time in case i forgot one or lost it or whatever. i lost the spare somewhere and it never did get used. im sure someday ill replace it, and from what ive seen of this one, the next one will be another scott.

Scott. Pretty much all I have shot for the past 15 years (coincidence eh!). Bomb proof. Have used mongooses, s-horn, and now a wolverine (which I really like). No complaints.

X 4 for Scott! I was using a mongoose for the past 6 seasons, it was great! I got the Scott wildcat for Christmas, so that's what I'm shooting now! I love the single caliper releases! Pretty sure I'll be shooting scotts for life! But maybe not? Good luck, hope you find one that suits you good!

Carter makes a great quality release. I shoot the RX-1 and love it. Try a few and go with what feels best to you.

I've used a Fletcher "Fletch Hook" for a few years now. Very good release.

I bought a Scott release and I like it....but I almost pitched it into the woods after the release trigger unscrewed and fell off while I was shooting a 3D round with C_Taylor.....I luckily found it in the grass. Going to have to loc-tite that puppy in there.

I use a tru-fire double caliper, like it, but adjustable trigger don't adjust as fine as I would like it, I have also been using a spot-hog wise guy, it's a gated release, and the trigger adjusts light enough to scare a guy, I'm still looking for that one release I can't live without.. After reading all that I might try a Scott.

Sorry to say but every post on this topic is 200% wrong. There is now only one release to have. It is called the equalizer. It is made by goat tuff products. Not cheap but the ONLY way to go. Look it up... Enough said topic closed.

Meh.....I can't be too impressed with s fancy aid that is tied on to such a crappy looking wrist strap, especially for that money. And to gain a few fps? I'll stick with my Scott.

Yeah, but if recall correctly you also shoot an APA

JK...I personally hunt with a scott sabertooth, and practice with a truball 2 finger back-tension release...

Ahh, that explains it then, a person obsessed with 'speed' because a pass through shot on a deer should bury itself to the fletching in an oak stump to ensure a humane kill. I understand now.

Like the first reply said: which one fits you the best, Feels the best in your hand at full draw, and has the features you like. Weather it be for hunting, for target, or for both. You know. The same rules that apply when buying a bow. Personally, I always end up with a truball in my hand. If you have a good pro shop in your area. They should let you try them. Before you buy em. You make the call.

That is the worst release I've ever seen. I would rather shoot an old cobra from the early 90's.

I hunt with a Scott Little Bitty Goose. I like it quite a bit, I just wish it had something that I could use to fold it out of the way when not in use.

I use a short and sweet and tuck it into my sleeve when not in use. If it is t shirt weather I spin it around to the back of my wrist.

on a seperate note:
When you are choosing a release first find out the proper placement for your finger when shooting. Most people still use the tip of their finger.
