Default Hunting on Wildlife Trust Fund Properties

Hey Folks -

As a member of AFGA I look forward to checking out some grouse hunting opportunities around Edmonton on some of the Wildlife Trust Fund properties. I'm wondering if anyone who has been out to a WTF property has any thing to share with me about their experience. Specifically, I'm wondering how busy the land use truly is and overall how the experience went.

Thanks!

Dan

it's rare when I see someone on a property. They all get used but there's so many your usually the only one on it. Hunting is good on plenty of them to especially for big game!

All AFGA, ACA nd most DU sites are listed in the Discover Guide. It's a great resource.

Being that it is "Foot Access" only can scare some people from hunting on the AFGA or say Millet Fish & Game land or other such land. Most times I have the land to myself.

Grazing reserves can be ok & like least roads some folks simply drive the Rd ways in Grazing reserves, but get out & walk some of those bushy areas & you see more.

The Fish & Wildlife like folks to contact the grazing reserve operators to make sure that there are no live stock in the area you want to hunt......that is what they say to me & so I do so.

Get out there & have fun.
