Not sure about Whitecourt, depends on your comfort level I guess. Anyway, there are a few of us going to be on the Brazeau river this weekend. Highwater makes it easier to get up into the canyon. You are welcome to tag along.
I havent been to the launch lately. So I cant comment on conditions. However the river is down considerably, but still flowing very quick. Gravel bars and logjams have all moved around again, but I'm sure its getting close for fun boating. Havent heard any boats lately though.
