First off yes this is a wild free range elk. After 9years of putting in for a suffield tag, this past year I put suffield as first choice and 151/152 as second choice. And I got drawn in 151/152. And was able to locate and harvest this bull. Yes at 4yds he bugled right in my face and actually spit on me. I hunted hard for 3 days and got my bull the morning of the 13.
I have had him scored but I won't say what the score was until after our local big buck night in whitecourt. We are selling guesses at the score to raise money for the local youth archery club that had a bunch of equipment stolen earlier. So if your from the area drop by Stoney creek and check out the antlers and make a guess, maybe you will win the cash prize !
