Default Stealth Cam UNIT

Has anybody used one of these? Trigger time appears extremely slow and the lowest time setting between pics is 1 minute. You will miss alot of photo opportunities i would think.

Avoid. There's better available for the money. Check Chasinggame.com for cam reviews.

I believe this is what I use and have not had too many problems with it, but it was a gift so not my choice but happy to have it! I think the technology in game cams on the market gets better every year. I would read the reviews as well because I have seen better pics and vids from other folks cams!
The Elk love to lick my cam for some reason, was funny at first but now its getting annoying. They move it around the tree, fog up the lens for a video or two and get mud and stuff on it!

I have 2 of those cams and one I sent back for warranty because it would not power up, but I have some pretty good pics this year though. I found that it triggers, but doesn't take the photo right way if it is close up to the animal. This meaning the animal walks by before a pic is taken. Also having them look up or down the trail works best.

I got one as a gift as well. Would not recommend it. Battery usage is rediculous (set of 8 a week). I would recommend a moultrie for the price that you pay. But that's my 2 cents.

I have 5 stealth cams. The time out setting sucks at 1min being the lowest, I just increased the amount of pics it takes to try and compensate. but i've got close to 5000 pics of the camera in my back yard.

The night time pics are pretty good as well.

UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE FIRST!!!!!!

8AA batteries were only lasting me a day and a half; pictures where all white; some pictures were funky colors...

so ya.. if you've already wasted your money at least you'll have something marginally better than a tasco if you upgrade your firmware.

i'm sorry...

3-5 second trigger speeds don't cut it for me with the stealth cams, don't care what Jim Shockey says. Had one of the snipers and sold it.

I bought one last year. I tested it and put it out in the field. When I returned a week later the batteries were dead with only one pic of nothing on it. I exchanged it and did the same thing. Once again upon returning the batteries were dead and no pics. I wrote to the company and after about two weeks of not hearing back from them I returned it.
