Thumbs up Wabamun report (Huge hogs) pembina report (lots of walleye) Pic HeavY

Hit up Wabamun with a few friends, yeehaw, vigsy another buddy and myself, this is what we caught, est weight on these hogs are anywhere between 16-18 pounds, water temp is only 2 degrees until it freezes meaning we should have ice very soon.

Pembina river was excellent, landed 6 walleye in 30 minutes when we got to the pool, also had 3 more on and lost then it got dark quick, water is freezing cold and the walleye are stacked in there wintering holes. Biggest walleye was 19 inches just shy of keeper size, sizes ranged from 12-19 inches.

Great pics.
I was shore fishing with a couple of pretty nooby friends at Wabamun lake about a month ago and the water was filled with spilled oil in that area. Pretty scary...

you probably don't have that much time left before it freezes up.

I was there on Sunday. No action off fallis point. FP has been very successful for me. Mind you I was only fishing for roughly 2 hrs.

Mind you there was a heavy west wind. At times I felt like I was on deadliest catch as waves were close to crashing over the bow and water was freezing on my jacket.

I may hit up Wab again on Sunday.

Last Thursday I think it was we went out to Wab by Fallis and same thing couldn't find a fish to save our lives. Fished probably 4 or so hours at least.

Can't go too big unless you're swapping out your trebles...stupid hook size restriction!

And fluoro > mono for a leader
