Default .35 whelen

I have a savage 110e chambered in .30-06 and I have been toying with the idea of getting it rebarreled into a .35 whelen. Has anybody done this? Is this a good action to try it with?
Is re-boring the barrel to .35 cal an option? Looking for input/experience/opinions on this idea...

Should be an acceptable donor action; no magazine or feeding issues should present themselves.

Re-boring is unlikely to be a) much cheaper than a new barrel and/or b) readily available.

One of these days I will find / build a Whelan.

I don't think your girly shoulders can handle a 35 whelan.

Pac-Nor and Shilen both make dressed drop-in barrels for Savage 10/110 bolt guns. Easy to do yourself if you get a hold of a Savage nut wrench.
