Default Iginla to be traded???

Looks like the Flames are looking to trade Iginla to a team with Stanley Cup prospects.

He's worn out his time in Calgary...

Where should he go?

Or should this go on NHL official thread?

From what I heard today, teams on his list are CHI, LA, BOS, and PIT as per Darren Dreger.

As much as I love Iggy, it would be nice to see him move on to a team that has a chance to win the cup.

Pittsburgh or Boston will take him. I imagine Kipper and Boumeester are not far behind. Ah well, it will be funny, Edmonton ownership let's there team blow for years and years where as we actually try to rebuild. Lol My guess is we will have 5 1st round draft picks this year.

LA actually makes sense, D Sutter has said publicly he wants him, LA isn't far from either of Jaromes residences in Calgary and the Okanogan, LA is a contender..
Would be cool to see him in Boston or Pittsburg though...

And I'm sure they will all be All Stars in their first year too?! Just like Sven "the Messiah" Baertschi?? You realize that the NHL isn't like your Xbox would have you believe, right?

I don’t think he worn out his time, management failed.

A quick little suspension would be a good start! Ohh, wait....then he'd have time to keep simulating NHL13 on his Xbox til the flames win the cup in 2013. Then we'll never hear the end of it!!!

X3 First it was 'we're going to make the playoffs, you won't

Then it was 'we might not finish in the playoffs, but still better than you'

Now it's 'we're better at sucking' ?

It's easy to make trades like that on Be A GM mode, on easy setting.

What's wrong with it?

You trying to make yourself believe Kipper,Iginla and Boumeester won't garner 4 1st round picks??

Your team layed in the sewers for years while we were in the chase for a playoff spot, now, in the only year in the past decade where it looks like we won't make the playoffs before the race begins, we are going to sell off our highest assests and start a rebuild.

Lay in the sewer and collected #1's for years on end, or selling off assets and start a rebuild? Hmmm whixh one sounds like a better choice?

If iggy wanted a cup maybe he should have worked a bit harder. I do not see him as a great hockey player. The cream rises to the top and he never. Flames fans think they have all these great players but as shown they are bottom of the pile players.

I'm guessing u weren't old enough to remember the late 90's/early 00's for the Flames. Glory years! They're coming again.

Iggy is and was a good player, great on team Canada. Hard to question his work ethic. You surround two or three stars with 18 plumbers so to speak what's gonna happen. He was real close one year too, better than most can say.

Iggy has won everything there is to win except a cup, nobody has scored more goals than him the last 10 years and yes he is a future hall of famer, he's done his part for the Calg. org. not his fault ownership are a bunch of *******es...

For all three, I could see 3 first rounders, a prospect, and 1 or 2 3rd rounders. But, they'll all be late first rounders, no one that will be an impact for at least 2-3 years.
