Electric heaters
Looking for a small electric heater to warm the cabin while the wood stove heats up, the small 110 volts just don't put out enough. Has anyone used one of these and can you change the plug to work in an electric stove outlet? Thanks in advance.

I have used them in the past. I think they call for a 30 amp plug (like your dryer) not a 40 like the range but if you put a range cord on it and wire it capping off the neutral it will work
I think you will be disappointed in the output ,IMO it will be a race between the woodstove and this heater to warm the cabin

I use them to heat my insulated 16" X 22" garage. They work great and you will be able to make an adapter to use the range outlet.

I use this same heater for my insulated 22x24 garage. Does the job well...do not feel the need to install a gas heater...

Found using the oven on the stove works quite well to warm the cabin. Used to use the top elements but the ladies purchased a glass top stove recently. The 110 volt heaters don't do much but the radiant type are great to sit in front of while the cabin warms. When we hit the cabin, my wife's first job is to start the stove while I haul in the goods. We leave the bedroom doors closed and turn on the electric blankets if we arrive later in the day. The washroom is always one of the more important places to put a heater.
Put a new Blaze King stove in a couple of months ago. Kind of nice being able to stay in bed all night as it did last 12 hours on the one fill and kept the cabin at an even 20 degrees.
On a sunny day, it is warmer outside than it is in the cabin.

Please do not leave this unattended if you decide to do it. It's illegal and dangerous.
I would suggest you get a small fan, set it on the open door and direct the flow through the oven to circulate the heat. Minor cost and will double to triple the 120V heater output you have now.
My nickle.

if you got neighbours they will hate you for this but if you want to warm up a cabin quickly throw an old boot or pair of shoes in the fire. You would not believe how many BTU's is in just a single work boot, lol

Have one of these but the wifey is very nervous of using it inside. It's not worth the argument that I will never win.
Benamin, good eye with the electric blankets, never thought of that.

As relative to the Canadian Electrical Code and CSA, yes.
