Might buy a boat
Would something like this be too small for most AB lakes?

I ran into some extreme weather on cold lake last year, first week of July Wind was crazy and the waves got huge, had my two bilage pumps going full out and took an absolute beating getting back to the launch. Boat pulled through but I had to re tighten a few things and got a crack in my dash warranty covers that, I learned a valuable lesion that day, if its blowing over 60k and a craft warning is posted on the radio also theres no boats in sight on the water call it off its not worth it.

Have you watched deadliest catch. 6-7' is just winter fishing on most bc lakes once you get up over 20' a boat can take quite big water.

That boat is most likely for sale because the owner found out that it is a very scary ride on any lake when he wind comes. up.
Do yourself a favor and only buy a bass boat if you live somewhere like the south not Alberta. Not safe on big water when the wind comes up.
Get a boat with a deep "V" then you can fish all the lakes and you will not be hugging the shoreline trying to get back to the boat dock with a bass boat.

I don't even know if that boat is for sale, or if it is even from AB. I was a random pick I got off of google. But that you for your information, that is what I was after and some what what I thought.

Ive been using an admiral drive 16ft for several years now on big water in bad weather and its treated me very well. I'll admit that is rough cause they dont come any more flat bottomed than that. Even in 6-8ft waves i wasn't worried. I might need new fillings but im not gonna drown. Second time i took er out empty and shut off the pump and pulled the plug. The water came about 3/4 of the way up to my knee.
Now i dream of the 20ft : http://www.admiraldrive.com/FT2069.html
Nothing like pitching a tent in your boat when there is no good campsites left!

That Bass Tracker is an outstanding boat on warm, sunny, windless days with no waves.
Make sure your insurance is paid up and your life jackets work well.
A floating tackle box might be a good idea too.
I was very surprised to see one these boats out on some pretty choppy water a few years back on a big prairie lake - these guys were gamblers........ and quite wet......

Depending on your budget, I would look at new Lund rebels. Priced well and good boats. I have a new Lund 1825 revel in my garage. It's great.

I bought a brand new Lund rebel 1625 XL with a full windshield (a must if you fish in the cold/rain) and I love it, got a great deal $18,269 turned into $20,519 total with the $2,175 extended warranty not to mention financed over 15 years lol payments are supper low and i can pay more or it off with no penalty. I was sooooo happy I bought a brand new F150 the same day to tow it lol

Lund rebel 1625 xL, same as mine but I added a forth seat behind the driver, oh and I upgraded my motor a season later, if you can get the right price go with the Lund but only if the price is right, lots of great competitive brands out there now.
