Default GPS unit- fishing trips

Guys,

someone using a gps unit on your fly fishing trips? I just got some back road maps, they give me coordinates but of course my smarthphone is not smarth enough to work in the back country...so, just wondering if someone use one of these? what unit are you using and If it actually work well?

Any of the basic GPS units will work well, I use an older model Garmin Rino 120. The cost varies depending on features such as memory, color / size of screen, etc.

I work for a company that specializes in GPS tracking of vehicles, I would recommend sticking with Garmin units.

I use a Delorme. I like it alot and find the mapping software great and easy to use. I have built up some great maps for back country.

Garmin, guy here... the basecamp and topo maps are the best research material out there
