Open water at joussard. Ice blow off yesterday but could change if winds shift to the east.

Drove by the west basin yesterday. Lots of Ice cover still, but a lot of large dark spots. Some strong winds blowing since yesterday afternoon as well so it's coming.

Not sure about the west end but the pic was taken at 6:00pm Monday on the east end at the widewater area. Late Saturday started to turn grey but was still a solid sheet of ice, some pretty good winds, now have it moving but still a pretty big slab of ice. There was still no ice going down river on Saturday night...

West end ( Hilliards and Shaws ) is clear as far as you can see!

I just drove the length of that lake and theres quite a bit of ice on it still. Maby from the shore in places it looks good but from up in the hills you can see just how much ice is still there. The west end might be OK for the weekend but if the east end is ice free for May long I would be surprized.
