Default Rugger Winchester 300 win mag

So I enharited a rugger Winchester 300 win mag. It is at least 20 years old. What are some thing I'm going to have to do to it to make it a good rifle. Pros and cons on them would be nice.

Default Ruger 300 win

Had one for 30 years, had it bedded, and the trigger done by a good gunsmith. Its one of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned, great old rifle with a very strong action.

Is that actually a Ruger 77 (mk I or Mk II) in .300 Winchester Magnum?

Because as far as I know Ruger and Winchester never jointly made a rifle.

How about you post a nice picture.

How ever it shakes out, as long as you're happy, enjoy.
