Not too hot the load data says 76 gr is max so I backed it off to 73 and worked up to 74 and my grouping snugged Right up to just under moa I never did try higher then that load.

CONGRATS !!! Great deer !!

This November I am really going to go hard after a decent whitetail as I will put off my cow elk till December unless no deer are around and I see the elk.

I have not taken a WT buck since 2004 (not that I couldn't but I was holding out for 180"+) so I am due!! I have the trail cams set up on a few properties since August and seen a few "OK" ones, no crankers yet. I just set up 2 more with my young boys on Saturday afternoon when they were done hockey.

Time will tell.

I wouldn't think so, you are not allowed to shoot WT deer in Strathcona County with a rifle. Only primitive weapons........

Great buck, I agree he might go a bit better than 150" IMO......

I hope you connect with your whitetail but if your holding out for a 180 you might be a wile!! according to this book north American whitetail edition it takes a lot of factors for a deer to hit 180'' about 1 in 70,000 on an average year i mean genetics are #1 food, hunting pressure, buck to doe ratio, average temperature even car traffic affects it lol to many to list but despite how rare they are they are still killed every year all over so i guess the right place and the right time is really all you need. if you get a good one on camera post it i love trail cam pics!!! good luck this year!!
