Lightbulb Hunting in WMU's 349, 350 & 351

Hi there,

I'm off hunting deer and possibly elk this weekend in the WMU's listed above and wondered if anyone on here could give me any advice as to any decent locations...! or if anyone on here has hunted there in the past and has any pointers that could be of use to me... Never hunted up there before so any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheer's

Smoggy,
Head North up HWY #32 just west of Whitecourt off HWY #43, to the Blue Ridge logging road and take your pick either East or West on it.
Lots of places to hunt either way.
All the best, and let us know how you make out

not very far, maybe 20 to 30kms. While driving up hwy 32 from whitecourt, you will pass a big plant right on the highway, keep going and you'll come to the top of a big hill. There will be lots and lots of signs on the west side from oilfield service companys. Thats the CCS corner. If you are headed north (from whietcourt) if you go left that takes you into a bunch of oildfield stuff and if you head right and follow the road it will take you to the athabasca river by Blue Ridge. Lots of cut blocks back in there to walk. Like it has been said lots of road hunters in the area so if you want to see some big animals be prepared to get out and do some walking.........unless you are very lucky!!!

Also be careful logging in full swing now, logging truck drivers can be *****s and won't share the road
