Gull lake perch and white fish
So I'm wondering if anyone knows how far out from shore and how deep you have to be this time of year at gull to catch white fish or perch? I'm new to perch and whitefish fishing, only ever done pike trout and salmon, so any information anyone has to offer would be great. Thanks ^.^

Gull is not very deep, Ive caught whites and perch anywhere from 5 feet to 12 feet of water, depth not the important factor but location and bottom.

Ive been fishing for whites for about 30yrs now. In my experiences first light would be the best bet for hungry whites. I have also caught them throughout the day and all day. The feeding habits change frequently and daily for whites.

Was catching perch pretty deep in Burnstick last weekend. Around the 20' mark.
They were hitting the bait at about 2 turns off the bottom, but the action all but died after noon.

Sight fish 4 to 12 feet, over weeds...perch come in packs so be ready for them... Wites also in packs but don't hang out as long...got to move around to find the fish, early morning is best and just before dark...my two cents...
