Ziess or Swarovski
For my new browning x-bolt white gold in a 270wsm. Give me your thoughts on the old model conquest 3x9 x40 at $525.00 or the Swarovski Z3 3x9x42 at $975.00..Also would you go silver or black ? . tks

All depends on how much money you have in your pocket
Pretty simple. Conquest is good. Z3 is a bit better.
I have had both.

I agree with Sns2, to my eyes the Swarovski gives a sharper picture than the Zeiss by a hair, then again I wouldn't notice the difference unless they were side by side.
I would go with the Zeiss personally, get the one you prefer

Why don't you go with what your eye seems to like better.

Put both on the credit card and return the one you don't like.
Or take them out of the store in the evening (with the stores consent of course and if the stores hours allow).

They are both fantastic and you will be very pleased with either. I don't know that the Swaro justifies the $ increase.

You can't really go wrong with either. The Conquest is good, the Z3 is a bit better, and is lighter if that matters to you.

The weight does matter and I did notice that , it's a bit over 2 oz. If everything was equal , silver or black, the conquest is avail in silver yet .

Unless you wear pink camo and underwear, it is best to stay assay from sparkly shiny scopes.
