Default Vancouver area Fishing Report.

Vancouver and area fishing report

As the Alberta Fall slips away slowly towards Winter, the Vancouver area Fall is in full copper and brown colours. The Fall fishing season is also in full swing. The local rivers from the Squamish River to the Vedder River are full of coho and chum salmon and the angling is fantastic. Fly fishing has been awesome the last week for coho on the rivers to the north of the Fraser River.

Sturgeon fishing has been nothing short of spectacular with many fish coming in well over 9 feet. Double digit hook ups are common for this time of year.

Salmon fishing and crab fishing in the saltwater is just around the corner. wrapped up a great summer and fall for salmon and the angling was great. Great fishing for us all summer in Ucluelet and the Vancouver area. The sockeye and chinook fishing was 'on fire' this summer.

We will start to see some good action in the Vancouver area for Chinook salmon in December and it keeps getting better as the winter months drag along. This is a great way to break up the winter blues with a fun fishing charter in the Vancouver harbour for chinook, crab and prawns.
