Thumbs up Best Trout Catch Of 2015

I know this does not compare to Jacenbeers best catch of 2015, but I thought I would post anyway. It was certainly my best hard water fishing in a t shirt catch. I had one on ten minutes before this one that did break 12lb fluorocarbon, didn't even get a look at the pig!
Iced 2, one was about 21-22" and the bigger one 29" pinched, still was a good day even though they didn't have legs
And the smaller one

That's exactly what I was thinking, Char! But then I thought a lighter color phase of a lake trout.

Have eaten Artic Char often, man are they ever good! It's the only fish that is as delicious as a wild Atlantic Salmon, if not better, as far as I am concerned.

Hmm It looks to me like pinkish spots. Maybe I am wrong.... But if they are I would think it's a Bull Trout which is actually a char.

Agreed a Bull trout would make way more sense, maybe the OP will let us know. In any case, nice looking fish!

Lake Trout are a char as well. Nice Bull -- hope he was back down the hole fairly quickly.

Thanks for the comments, yes 100% bull trout. There is a zero keep limit in the whole province, those fish were promptly released and will be caught again. I myself don't really care for trout or salmon, I would take a walleye or burb over a trout any day of the week. Sure are fun to catch, I find those bull trout do a death roll like a pike a lot of the time when they are hooked. But if you can avoid the line getting wrapped around them they are a very powerful fish, and put up a great fight.

When I said I don't care for trout or salmon, I was referring to the taste, not the catching part. Just to clarify, I read my last post again and might have been a bit confusing.
