Default Superformance Powder Experience

Has anyone used this powder for 260 Rem? Apparently, burn rate is slightly lower than H4831SC which means a full case with 120-130 spitzers should do just fine. Like to hear your experience.

done some extensive testing this weekend in my 7 gunworx f-class gun. the case is a 7-08 improved, with 30* shoulder, and throated for 162 class bullets.
was able to get great velocity, and some hunting groups, but no competition groups. i found that no matter how careful i was to weigh charges, still had extreme spreads of 51 to 160 fps.
i have tried this powder in a few other rifles with similar results, haven't found the magic combo in anything yet.
even hodgdon says it has limited uses, but 'where it works it works really well'. lee
ps. about 7 lbs in left in the jug i would trade for rl15 or imr 4198

I have no experience such as duceman's in reloading with said powder. However, any factory ammo in various calibers that I've tried named Superformance has yielded very poor results. And I imagine that the Superformance factory ammo is loaded with the very same powder bearing that name. For all it's worth.

I am currently using it in my 22-250. I've found it to be very temperature sensitive.

There is like 40 diffrent blends of powders for the factory loaded stuff. Only one blend avallible to us hand loaders. That's the email I got from them.

Due to the lack of IMR4831 I have been trying it my 280 so far its been looking promising. I shot this group this morning I think I can shrink the group up a bit more with some OAL adjustment.

My experience exactly. Was very excited when I read the velocity and energy claims on the box. They might have even been true, but who needs really fast 3 inch groups at 100 yards? Went back to tried and true standard velocity ammo. Stuff may work in certain rifles, just not mine.

I tried the factory SP loads in my 280 today as well, the POI was 6" high and off to the left 3" looked like a shotgun blast.

I almost ordered some of this powder but read much the same on several different websites/ forums. Ended up ordering a pile of normal powder that became available instead, even got stuck with some i don't want due to a friend backing out, don't hear that much anymore do you ha ha.
