Smile You guys can do this!

The English and Welsh archers had to practice at 200 yds. The ranges are still next to the small churches all over southern England. The yew trees that they used for Bows are still growing and the local Priest will show you the place near the door of the Church where the boys sharpened their arrows.

If they could do it in the 1200's you guys will have no problem.

The part about losing arrows may be relevant though.

I've been target shooting at 30 yards instead of 20 for the last 3 weeks since
the weather broke.

I LOST 1 arrow last week, but doing ok, went from grouping to shooting spots
at 30.

Looked for the dang lost arrow every other round when shooting every day.

No arrow.

Finally found it today, all is well, no damage, ... was looking all this time about 30 yards past the target.

Was found in Wainwright Alberta CA.
Amagine that from Gladys VA US.!

Good luck Neil, sounds like you got some tough competition here.

It's quite a thing to see people get riled up over bendin' bows.

Tried the challenge and after I spent a half hour looking for 2 arrows shot at 80 yds a gopher hunt broke out .. oh well fresh meat for supper . lol I' ve got em in there at 60 as well , try again tomorrow .

Seems far but I'll try in next few weeks.
Anyone know how far those slow-mo Luminock shots were at the bear target on Wild TV ?
I'd guess 75 yds.

Keep a running count on the arrows boys. And to clarify it is "1" gift card to the person with the most lost arrows... Not a gift card for each arrow.

Have fun

"BOO BOO"

"BOO BOO Flower"

A "BOO BOO Flower" is the tip of your arrow after hitting "Boo Boo the bear" made of solid steel!!

Pictures of today's fun

That's a long way! Hard to see the X on the paper.

First grouping, if we use the break the line rule....it's in!

Second attempt.....wind was picking up.

Wind picked up pretty good and I had a few failed attempts and when the wind picks up the jam comes off the arrows!

Here is another good one.

Here is one from 80 yards, notice how it resembles a "group" better.

Very nice lefty!
Thats some good grouping at both 80 and 100 yards.

Last night (on youtube) I saw a guy able to hit a small balloon at 200 yards with a bow.
So this challenge is doable( in theory at least)

Alberta bigbore, if your shooting like that being "rusty" cant wait to see when your back on your game! Good shooting.

Those logs require much more wind doping than spaghetti arrows . The xcutters are 0.380" or 9.7mm

Some shafts are made for making big holes, some are designed for deep penetration, so long as they hit their mark is all that matters.

How do you like the kingpin? I was considering one but the price and exchange rate scared me away

Ho long is this challenge on for Hydro?

I would lie to participate after I put my new Worlds Best Sting on and have my bow tuned by L.O.S.T. Arrow in the summer and get my new arrows, after I intentionally destroy my Bemans on the Iron Bear lol.
