asbestos identification

Can anyone tell me if this is asbestos ir rock wool? When is is wet it is like paper mache. I am hoping it is rock wool and not asbestos.

I've never seen rockwool act like paper mache when wetted....... The only way to be sure is to have it tested at a lab. Where was it sourced from? It wound up in so many products its difficult to be sure by a photo alone. I know what the zonolite that came out of the Libby Mine in Montana looks like, that I still see on occasion in client buildings (I even had some and the empty bags to prove the source in my own attic before I took the old house down)

Have it tested for sure.. I removed asbestoes for 16 yrs. You can not tell by looking at it..

If, after going through this information, you suspect that it's not asbestos, then have it tested, to be absolutely sure.
