Default wabamun shore fishing

I looking to head out to wabamun some time this week. I was wondering were I should go to fish off shore, and what the best option is for bait/lure would be. I have heard of a canal that people are fishing. Thanks

The canal is a good spot to fish, mind you it's been about 20yrs since I was last there. It's located about 3 or 4 blocks west of the boat launch right in the village of Wabamun. Any pike lure will do, pretty much any lure period. Jigs, spoons, crankbaits, they'll all work.

Good luck!

When you fish the canal, do you fish in the canal or at the mouth and cast out into the lake?
