Default Saddle hills wild boar sightings?

Has anyone had any sightings of wild boar in the saddle hills county? I live in Grande Prairie and wanted to put some wild boar in my freezer from what I've heard it's delicious also I just got my new HOYT and I'm dying to try this bad boy out didn't quite make it for bear season

You are probably not going to get much help on this people who know where the pigs are keep it as a secret as I would my sheep spot. I would start with the search function on this forum to get a general area, then talk to farmers/CO's/Ag reps, etc... in area and go from there.

Any wild hog farms around there, past or present ? If No, not likely. check with the Municipal AG rep. He'll know.

Nope.... But there was a farm out by beaverlodge that had a bunch. You could pay and go in and hunt them, he had them on a bush quarter and it was a hard hunt.


I guess there has been the odd escape up by the hills, but your more likely to find a turkey then a pig... And your not likely to find a turkey!

Saddle hills has a 50$ bounty on boars so I figured their must be a decent size population of them out their. sounds like Brink is right I'll have to bust out the phone and the spotting scope maybe I'll even spy me some nice bull elk

Over on another social media site there's a closed group called Alberta hoggers or something like that. They are very open with where them wild hogs are.
Can't say there was ever a mention of them in your neck of the woods.

Call the Fish Cops and talk to a warden. They will tell you of any farmers having issues.
