To the OP the computer never randomly selected any draw for anyone in the 18yrs I have been applying for draws starting with metal tags & booklets.

Before your time. When the draw system first started, you would put down an area you wanted and then had a choice to be selected for any zone. Remember it well. Think it only lasted for a couple years though.

I clicked yes for Camp Wainwright (although I have been there a few times now), and this year I will be chasing a bull at Suffield. These 2 areas aren't accessible to scout. I have also drawn Speed goat in a zone that I never scouted down south, but was hunting with a friend that had hunted there before. We both took nice Speed goats.
IMO, if you are a seasoned enough hunter, review some topo maps prior, why not? Gotta start somewhere.

So it was the applicants choice to be entered into a random pool for random WMU's not the system just doing it. The applicant new it would be completely random.

Yep that's right. Usually they were drawn in under subscribed areas then.

x4. It was my third zone choice and I've been through 336 many times but never hunted. I have family there, a place to stay and there is moose to be had. I woulda preferred my 1st or second choice though just because of the human population/private land in 336.

Good luck to X1,2, and 3. . Hell. Good luck to all of us this season.
