Highwood River

Anyone Been on Highwood a few KM west of Longview recently? Is it fishable for spin fishing? I don't know how to fly fish....

I have never fished that river before and have limited time in the mornings. Since I live in Okotoks figured close to Longview would be a good start.

I fish that area a lot on fly and spin gear. Get a mepps aglia #2 gold body with silver spinner and you will catch plenty as long as you know how to read a river

I drove over a one way bridge on highway 552 just east of Okotoks. It goes over the highwood.
Looked like it could hold some fish. Anyone been?
