Default Distance between Mule / WT deer

Hunted last weekend and came across about 20 Muley's all within about 4km sq looked a little further for whitetail but only over a hill within that 4k, didn't see any for two days.

Question for you is: how much distance is there between groups of wt and Muley and will they both stay away from a herd of elk?

Frustrating to see do many deer with no tag in hand ... Hunting, not shooting. Hunting, not shooting, hunting not sh...

Where I was Saturday the mulies own the top half of the ridge and the whitetail live on the bottom half. Rarely see a whitetail on the top half, never see mule deer down low. Elk seem to travel everywhere, and the deer don't seem to care.

I hunt a field that can have both White Tailed Deer and Mule Deer in it at the same time. I've even seen a whitey hanging out with a group of muleys.

You just never know with deer.

I see them together where I hunt, but it's that mixed terrain. Yesterday had a young mule doe decide she'd come check us out while a couple of whitetail does flagged across the trail another 50 yards up. 5 minutes earlier we'd put up a sizeable bull moose who wasn't happy and Loudly 'growled' at us a few times

I've shot both in the same field, at the same time, on multiple occasions.
