Powder Monkey
They make a great safety's for these rams. using them properly with that, they are a great tool. Yes, they can be a little dangerous to reset, but mind on task, not rushing, using proper tools, they can be set quick and safe. so yes showing how to handle those safely would be using those safety tools that can be bought.(* RAM FOOT, RAM SAFETY)

Other than that, snaring with freehangers is the way to go. good luck and good on you teaching your kids. My kid loves it ,but also would not have the strength to use the RAMS yet.

Yes using the ram safety works ok for those that use it but nobody who sets a lot of the Rams will want to take the ram foot thingy with them every time they go out. 🙂
