Default Unbelievable for a bighorn

This is a copy of a newspaper clipping that was found tucked into a box of old Boone and Crockett record books.

Looks like another set of sheep horns placed on the tips of the first set of horns.

This looks like two horn shells placed over the ends of the horns of another ram. A good hoax for sure and makes a helluva picture. Had a friend play the same trick on me before. My first thought was he had killed the world record stone for sure lol.

I don't believe that any north American sheep would show that much of an argali twist... It's a hoax, whether accidental or on purpose.

Yeah , that would be about right. I think the pic was taken in the fall of '04, he did mention that he was surprised the ram was still alive.

Yup, and that one side is over 50 inches long. Can't remember exactly, but I believe it was about 53...

That ram is hanging in the German Hunting Museum in Munich. Shot by a German aristocrat in Canada in 1912 while on a hunting expedition.

The wonders of the internet, PM headed your way, think I need find out more if I can. Steve Kubasek thought enough of that clipping to tuck it away in an old B&C record book

Looks like we're mostly all agreed--a match of two sets of horns, of some sort.

Coal Branch area, west of Edson.

That's where all those big rams on the mine site hang out. Possible ? Maybe. Looks like the lamb tips are still there, Maybe not.
